We spend our lives optimizing our relationships, our possessions, our spaces. But at what cost? When optimization becomes an end in itself, it turns into a burden. We lose sight of what we were seeking in the first place.
Made in fragile ceramics, Veiga’s work embraces play as a subversive tool by challenging our expectations of objects and meaning. It lives in the tension between innocence and belief, between physical presence and the longing for elsewhere.
Placed in a public setting, the work becomes a quiet provocation: Is this heaven? Who decides? Can we build it together, letter by letter?
Wherever You Go, There You Are is a group exhibition featuring ten emerging artists exploring the act of making across diverse materials and disciplines. From textiles and ceramics to glass, print, wood and metal, the works blur and stretch boundaries, inviting us to rethink creation as a continuous process of transformation.
